Fairfield County Radon Guide is an independent, hand-verified directory of radon testing and radon mitigation companies serving Fairfield County, Connecticut. It was built from a Phase 2 research file dated 2026-10-31, company by company, from each company's own website.

How listings were verified

• A company's own website beats directories whenever they conflict. Directory phone numbers, addresses and license numbers were deliberately not used where they differed from the company's own site.
• License and certification numbers appear only where the company's own website publishes one. Only 4 of the 23 companies in this guide publish a number on their own website: CT Radon and Well Water Solutions, Northeast Radon Mitigation Specialists, HSW Radon Contractors and Houseworks Home Services.
• Ratings appear only where the research file records one from the company's own site, with source and count where given. None of the 23 companies in this guide publishes a rating with a review count on its own website, so every profile shows no rating.
• Prices appear only where a company publishes one on its own website. No company in this guide publishes a fixed mitigation price. The only fixed prices published are testing prices from The Proper Inspection, listed in the cost guide and on that company's profile. A program estimate from the Connecticut Department of Public Health radon program is labeled as a program estimate in the cost guide, not as a company price.
• Companies that publish no street address on their own site are marked as such. No address was invented for them.
• Testing-only companies are labeled as testing-only and are never presented as mitigators.

Featured listings are currently off for every company in this guide. No company paid for placement, and no company is marked as featured in the data. If a featured listing ever appears in future, it will be clearly labeled as a paid placement and will not change the verified facts in the profile. A featured label is never a quality endorsement.
